The photo below to the left shows the author in the Main Control Room at the European Spacecraft Operations Centre in Darmstadt, Germany, back in September, 2003. Frank Hogan was serving as SMART-1 Simulations Officer.

Frank Hogan was born in 1966 and is a Swedish resident. He has been an avid human spaceflight buff since early childhood. Particularly the Apollo lunar missions have attracted his interest over the years. Frank is trained as an engineer and has enjoyed writing for many years. APOLLO 21, DESTINY, and SOYUZ S are his first three books and build up a trilogy of spaceflight thrillers.
